Sarasota Jungle Gardens
With a little imagination, visitors to Sarasota Jungle Gardens can be transformed to a Florida of bygone days.
Acres of gardens and nature trails make this tropical park a perfect setting for leisurely strolls and great picture taking. The gardens are in Sarasota's Indian Beach neighborhood on the Sarasota bay front, an area that has been used by people since prehistoric times.
Gardens and nature trails make this an ideal place for leisurely strolls and picture taking. Exhibits, such as “Birds of Prey” and “Critters and Things,” will delight children and adults alike. Reptile and bird shows are performed four times daily, featuring snakes, alligators, cockatoos and macaws. Taking a walk through the grounds, you will encounter flamingos, lemurs, monkeys and other animals. Children will love “Kiddie Jungle,” which includes a jungle-themed playground.
Sarasota Jungle Gardens also boasts a Tiki Garden, Shell Museum, gift shop and cafe. This is one of the Old Florida attractions you really shouldn't miss.
